A neurotic, socially reclusive man, whose fear of human contact has caused him to spend over a decade in his parents' basement apartment, cut off from society. Video games, cartoons and comic books are his only escape from the sad realities of a life such as his. But luckily there's a bright spot: Hideo happens to be a genius when it comes to robotics and computers, which means that, unlike most in his situation, he needn't be completely lonely...
An all-purpose robotic assistant built by Hideo. Having been his master's first major attempt at robot construction, Pin still has a few notable glitches, such as the stutter in his voice chip, and design flaws, such as only having one arm. Despite his imperfections, and despite being designed with only practicality in mind, Pin has come to be the closest thing Hideo has to a friend. He is often affactionately called "Pin-chan" by his master.
Hideo's newest cybertronic creation, and the culmination of many years of tireless work and devotion. She was created in order to free him from the pain of constant loneliness, and, more importantly, so that he might bypass the horrifying (and hopeless) prospect of trying to find a human female companion. Unfortunately, all of Hideo's work appears to have been for worse than nothing; right from first boot, it's painfully clear that this fiesty fembot isn't quite as eagar to please as she was programmed to be. What now, Hideo?!
